The 2012 Ford Mustang Boss 302 is the first true blue Boss in something greater than 40 years. For the 1969 model year, Ford presented the initial Boss 302 and the Boss 429. Both were sold in ’69 and ’70. A Boss 351 was in addition sold in 1971.
The 1969 and ’70 Boss 302 were outlined to perform in SCCA Trans-Am hustling. It was aimed to be an overall-adjusted way race-auto and, as per Ford's CEO during that timeframe, Semon “Bunkie” Knudson, to be “definitely the most fit taking care of boulevard auto ready on the American business sector.”
