In 2010, Mercedes-AMG introduced a new "AMG P31 Development Package" for an extra $6,050, which ups the power to 480 hp (360 kW) compared to 450 hp (340 kW) for the standard model. Top speed has increased to 174 mph (280 km/h). When equipped with this package, the C63 AMG features a revised ECU and crankshaft.
