Maybach 57 History

DaimlerChrysler AG tried to purchase the Rolls-Royce/Bentley marque when Vickers offered the ensemble available for purchasing (When??). When this endeavor foundered (they were outbid by Volkswagen, and BMW later practiced a choice to procure the Rolls-Royce auto mark) they presented the Maybach as an immediate challenger in 2002, to the other communities' Bentley Arnage and BMW Rolls-Royce Phantom.

Both Maybach models are variants of the same ultra-extravagant vehicles. The model numbers reflect the respective lengths of the vehicles in decimetres; the 57 is more presumable to be possessor-driven while the longer 62 is planned with a driver in brain. The motor is a Mercedes-sourced 5.5-litre twin-turbo V12, producing 405 kilowatts (550.6 PS; 543.1 hp).
